JHD Gallery
My photographic career started in the early eighties when I picked up a camera while modelling in Japan. Since then I have travelled the world shooting locations and subjects that inspire me. I have shot all the images on this site and they represent a collection of my strongest work. Subscribe to this site for updates, special offers and release of new photographs. Just put your email address in the box on the top right of this webpage.
Over the years I have shot with many different cameras and the works you see here are photographed on a Nikon FE2, Pentax 6 x 7, Hassleblad or Canon 5D Mark 2.
Yes, do it all the time – you name it, Poland, England, America, Asia – we’ve sent artworks everywhere. Contact us for a quote. We can send it framed or unframed. Unframed is more cost effective to send as framed artwork can be quite heavy and needs to be shipped in a custom-made wooden crate. Email us at info@jhdinc.com. Please note that local tax/duties may have to be paid on the receivers end.
We have created numbered and authenticated limited edition prints of Houston's work. Each print is then printed to order to the highest standards using fully archival inkjet pigments on 100% Epson Exhibition Inkjet Fiber Gloss paper and are cut to size. The same quality that is found in museums and since only a limited number of each image are printed to maintain the integrity of the edition, you’ll want to get your favorite before it’s gone!
We will consider selling the pictures commercially on a case by case basis. Contact us for a quotation on licensing an James Houston Design image. Prices are based on how you plan to use the image, size, timeframe etc.
We plan on launching a gallery space in New York in 2015.
